CNC Router for Model Railroading? You betcha!

Things are still in the very early stages of  getting organized here but I thought I would let you know that I am currently working on finishing up a CNC router I am building. Yes, I am building a CNC router! What the heck does this have to do with hacking model railroads? Well, picture all the really kewl custom engine and rolling stock bodies that could be made with a CNC router or all of the kewl scenery molds or, like one of the hacks to be published pretty soon – cutting out custom, raised track control panels!

Just so you know, I am actually wayyyy further along into building the CNC router than the picture above would suggest – that was the only picture I had handy but I will be taking so more up to date pics. I’m actually nearly done with it. I can’t wait to get this making model railroading stuff. In fact, I think I’m going to publish a series of CNC railroad hacks, maybe an entire layout? hmmmmmmm….. I’ll be letting you know real soon – keep tuned.
